Just another "freedom" to discriminate and oppress others for their religious beliefs.

Typical 'Christian' victimization. They're still living in Ancient Rome.

Some conservative Christians feel oppressed by the existence of the 'other' religious adherent in the same way white people call 911 simply because they see a black person.

she defied the Supreme Court ruling on marriage licenses. That status comes from this line of warped/entitled thinking where their brand of Christianity should be allowed to dictate - and when they can't - they are being persecuted.

Or listen to Mike Pence as Gov of Indiana try to justify a law to legalize religious discrimination to George Stephanopoulis. Listen to his attempts to soften/but justify - it is there. Oh - and natch Pence was wrong, and was lying throughout that interview.

A lot of Christians truly feel oppressed, discriminated against, persecuted, however you want to say it. Seriously. Those Christians don't feel threatened, frightened, or offended. It's way past that. They feel they are actually being attacked.

the government recognizes specifically christian holidays like Christmas and Easter by closing government offices, including post offices, and governmentally-regulated businesses, like banks and stock exchanges; where schools close to allow them to celebrate their holidays, those christians have a lot to complain about government interference with their right to practice their religion.

Christian churches are given a lot of special rights already in this country, not the least of which is tax exempt status. So what are they missing that they keep griping about? One thing they are not free from is ridicule. Maybe they want to bring back blasphemy laws. Because nothing says confidence in one's God more than seeking laws to suppress criticism. Their God apparently is not only a jealous God but also quite delicate in His sensibilities.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced the creation of a “Religious Liberty Task Force” at the Justice Department saying Donald Trump’s election has given the right a “rare opportunity” to stop a “dangerous movement, undetected by many” that is eroding religious freedom.

In reality, the task force is simply an extension of the Trump administration’s war on LGBTQ rights and women’s right to choose.

For them, that's a convenient little wedge to drive into the mighty tree of healthy diversity.

It's the same people who want "In God We Trust" in every school room and courthouse. It's the same people who view others as "sinners" whom they cannot abide.

They want to dominate.

First Amendment to the Constitution says CONGRESS shall make no laws respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. There's nothing about the executive branch just doing it without Congress. The courts may think otherwise if they try it. And if the Russpublicans hack the vote so they stay in power, Congress might just try it.
