was not a big Elvis fan, but kinda thought oh, come on, a rock and roll white guy compared to her??? But they both did contribute to our musical heritage.

I was never an Elvis fan myself either. He was a little bit before my time - I was seriously into the Beach Boys back in the day.

But Aretha was so far out of their class, it's astounding. I listened to her performance at the Kennedy Center Honors for Carole King again and was blown away. When she drops the fur coat on the stage, I just lost it. And to see Barack brush away a tear. It's painful to lose her.

Let them expose themselves - they shouldn't be heard on anything to do with a great woman, let alone a great black woman - a brilliant, progressive, and generous human being.

I hope the rest of media play that clip over and over.

It was done to show disrespect to Aretha and perpetuate the feud between Her and Patti Labelle.
