I worry the something is going to happen to us, instead. Something on the lines of a 9/11-level event. He's batshit crazy, and the walls are closing in on him and many of those with whom he surrounds himself. I wouldn't put it past them to either stage something, or let it happen as the Busheviks did with the Sept. 11th attack. Especially with what SHOULD be a tidal wave election coming up.

But, he's pissed off a lot of the wrong people, including many in the CIA and military. They're really getting fed up, maybe to the point where someone is going to take him out. Of course, his arteries could beat them to it. I am surprised he hasn't had a stroke by now.

that a faction of the IC is on Trumpy’s side. He’s pretty much gotten the entire crew pissed off at him. You don’t want to get them REALLY pissed off. Some of them are experts in the dark arts and you don’t want to get them too aggravated.

Regardless of what does or doesn’t happen, the IC, I think, has powers that Trumpy can’t imagine. And yet they’re the underdogs in this dynamic. That’s not good for the top dog.

But I’d say I’m more focused on them than worried. Increasingly I’m getting the feeling that if we want him gone it’s going to have to happen the old fashioned way — by removing him ourselves via elections. The first step of that process begins in November. I just don’t think a sudden health event, Mueller or a resignation for some other reason are going to be what does it.

what another 2-1/2 years of Trump would do to our nation, though. At some point the damages, domestic and foreign, are going to mount and genuinely hurt more people, not just those like the Kochs who are already estimating their losses. Still, could a reshuffling of congressional power stabilize things enough for him to stay?

My best guess is still that Trump will be forced to resign by both parties acting in concert, at some point after Democrats get control of at least the house. Republican leaders would be able to unload most of the political burden on Democrats. This would presumably be precipitated by the results of the Mueller investigation and/or alarming actions by Trump.

In any case, agree the next step begins in November. If we fail to get enough power in congress to stop them, SCOTUS might end the Mueller investigation, the DoJ might smother the findings, Trump and congress would continue the dismantling of liberal progressive government, and SCOTUS might reinterpret the constitution and voting laws to replace liberalism with social conservatism and transfer power from the people to an authoritarian executive and and senate filled from our new ruling classes.
