I try not to discuss politics at work at all.

I'm the store manager so what I say can create a lot of problems. I keep to myself with my politics unless I am sure they agree with me and even then I keep it to once a year or so. We were outside today smoking and one of my best employees who say they are a libertarian but really has no idea what that is started talking about how health insurance companies were the worst and they were surprised there were not more people violently freaking out on them. This is in reference to someone having their premium grow over 700% after they got sick and had to pay a over 10k deductible and they had what would be called elite health insurance. I told him that the house my mom had would have been gone if she had been on that insurance but was on ACA and they payed for everything. Over 6 years of sickness and cancer and then death. And the ACA payed for it. They did not say anything after that.

You didn't state whether or not you were in favor of anything political. You only stated your Mom is on an ACA plan and they paid.

So you still have your ONE for the year.

But your employee brought it up.

You can only hope he will try to educate himself a little bit.

A lot of people who call themselves libertarians haven't a clue what that political stance (movement? party?) is all about. They tend to make Republicans seem warm and fuzzy.

In my family you die of a heart attack or cancer in your 50-60s, or you die senile in your 70's if you "lived well". Ill take have fun and 50-60's for the win.

Mom's side riddled with cancer and most died in their 60s.

Dad's side full of heart disease and strokes. Most gone in their 60s.

We can always hope for more medical advances!
