When Obama was POTUS, we didn't have to check a source to know if something was satire or not.

With someone like Donald Trump taken seriously, "satire" becomes an even more slippery concept than it was. And it does kind of deflate the effect by labelling it "satire" when written.

But, as a Latin teacher once told his student, "Juvenal doesn't write nonsense," so when a writer of J.K. Rowling's ability appears to make "mistakes," one should probably look a little deeper than the surface. That, I'll grant you, is something that is sorely missed these days.
