One thing I don't get: With the entire KGOP at his feet, why be a raging maniac all the time?

Dear Leader is so angry and hateful all the time. Like, if I were him, I would be joyous every day. Everyone in the KGOP will still defend him even after Mueller finds he is culpable for obstruction and conspiracy. Unless he knows that 17 GOP senators will vote to convict, why be so deranged, insane, and unhappy all the time? I mean he can fear losing the house but that didn’t stop Reagan, Clinton, or Obama.

Please don’t misunderstand. I don’t care that he is a raging maniac but just the psychology of him is interesting to me. Reagan, Clinton, and Obama didn’t lose their minds over substantial midterm losses. Why is he?

Again, he’s not fit to shine those 3’s shoes (well maybe Reagan who just put a smily face on evil). That’s beside the point though. No other president has ever come this unglued or unhappy over an IC/SC investigation or substantial midterm losses.

He got his tax break for millionaires through. So, again, why wake up a raging hysterical unhappy lunatic maniac Every. Single. Day?

Some people get off on anger. A lot of his cult followers are rageaholics, too. Anger makes them feel energized and powerful.

Helplessness is at the very bottom. Trumpsters live in perpetual helplessness and are always victims. Anger gives them relief and yes, it’s like a drug to them.

...the only Republicans who will speak out against Trump are those leaving office or those not in office. Because, as sad as it is, Trump can make or break Republican candidates. This primary season has made that abundantly clear.

The maniacal rages were pretty much what he ran on.

A narcissist president could never feel safe in a society with any remaining amount of democratic oversight, and Trump's erratic behavior will never stand up to even a moment's scrutiny. He's been afraid for decades that his career of fakery is always just that close to becoming common knowledge, and the sheer magnitude of questioning he's dodged since the inauguration has him terrified.

The more malignant the narcissist, the less the satisfaction.

It's not enough to be prez. He has to have the biggest crowds, biggest parades, biggest numbers. He is always inflating his numbers and making every story / issue about him.

No amount of adoration or attention will ever fill him up because he knows that deep down inside he is an empty black hole. He is too self-absorbed to ever feel the joy of loving anyone else because he has no love to give.
