Where in the hell are the Republicans??

Are they lost somewhere?

Are they even talking amongst themselves? They sure as heck aren't talking to the Democrats. Some might argue that it is a two-way street?

The Republican Party has allied itself with a trump that has called everyone that disagrees with him, "fake news". He says they are the enemy of the people. They do nothing to protect our First Amendment. Do they even talk to each other?

It's a sad, political time for our country. But it is what it is. It is not easy to defend yourself against a demagogue, especially when he is in your own Party.

Some are busy spiffing up their resumes to land their next great job.

Some are on the phone begging for money and getting their marching orders from the Koch Brothers.

Trump is just a distraction from the looting of the Treasury. Trump is actually the least of our worries now. They used the Supreme Court to steal the Presidency from Gore. It hasn't stopped since.

They are loyal "Republicans".

Therefore, they are loyal to Trump.

He is putting his own hide above the future of the party and the country. You have the base of the party that has been conditioned thru xenophobia and racism, to believe the rhetoric coming form Fox News and other information outlets. In conjunction with them, Trump is controlling the Republican base. The majority of the American people, to some degree, see what is going on.

Basically America's hard-core authoritarian social conservatives.

The rest have dissociated into that 37% who call themselves independent. Until now, of course, it's just been a posture for a large majority of conservative indies.

But something to remember when polls say Trump's approval rate is 90% with Republicans. It'd be 90% with those if he did start arresting and extraditing our government officials to Russian prisons.
