- who is making clear that he's not going to let McGahn take the fall for this.

But what does it mean?
It means that Mueller has for months known that Trump obstructed justice... that he was advised (By McGahn) that what he was doing wasn't legal or justified.

So Trump can't claim ignorance, as McGahn has no doubt said, "I told him."

McGahn wouldn't have the dirty deeds knowledge Cohen has, but he'll have much more knowledge about the obstruction.
