I'm a retired lawyer and the thought of someone actually allowing me to be on their jury was hysterically funny to me. Unfortunately I was excused on a peremptory challenge. If chosen I would have definitely send a note to the judge asking to see the lunch menu.

might mean that can't agree on one person's lunch OR one lunch for all of them OR any lunch at all.

13. Years ago I was on jury juty for 3 weeks and it was a sweet deal.

My legal address was the next town over (and I was temporarily living in the city). I got my full pay from work, plus the daily stipend, plus the round trip mileage allowance from my legal residence (I walked to court every day). The money I got from jury duty covered my Christmas shopping that year. I never got picked for a jury panel and it was like being on vacation.
