There have quietly been lots of 43s recently. Monmouth most recent was 43 and YouGov most recent was 43 adjusted by Nate to 44. Gallup had a 42 adjusted by Nate to 43. So it's hardly Rasmussen alone. The trend has been upward, even if that makes no sense.

There is a lag so it will take at least a week to ten days to see how this impacts the number. Then there is a settling so probably two to three weeks is the best guide.

Hopefully Trump will become unhinged and do something/say something to further take himself down.
