McCarthy & Spanky - approval numbers tell us something important

McCarthy had an approval rating of 34% three months after he was censured.

Spanky Let-me-drop-my-drawers' numbers are generally around 38% most of the time.

This just goes to show that anybody, and I mean anybody, can get 34% (1/3) of the population to follow them.

This just makes me feel a bit better; I don't know why.

1. Hoover got almost 40% of the vote in 1932.

That was after the policies of repuke presidents Harding, Coolidge, and Hoover (along with a repuke congress) had literally destroyed the country the previous 11 years.

Trump's approval rating has been far steadier than any of his predecessors. I attribute that to the Republican base being cult-like. Trump truly could shoot someone on 5th Avenue in broad daylight.
