Latest Morning Consult Poll Has Biden Crushing Trump By Double Digits.

All Democrats are looking good in the poll. While Trump gets his highest percentage(32%) when pitted against Sanders, if Sanders switched parties and became a Democrat, Sanders is also looking good.

Now Sanders will have to switch parties, right? Tiggeroshii Aug 2018 #1
I don't think he should be able to run in our primary after turning down the Democratic nomination.. NCTraveler Aug 2018 #3

I don't think so. I believe the rule was watered down from how it was initially reported. NCTraveler Aug 2018 #8

yet again.

I'm not sure why they don't poll him as a third party candidate. Jane has been open about the possibility.

Requiring to be a registered democrat to run for the nomination. Right?

Any candidate running as a Democrat in the primary for President must publicly declare they are a Democrat before doing so. I do not believe there is any context in time except it must be done at some point before declaring for the primary.

Fool me once and all that. He's never going to be our party's nominee.

It just goes to show you, doesn't it.

But, none of this matters right now. Not one bit. It's all irrelevant two months out from the mid-term elections and at the same time as Trump's minions are getting sent to the slammer. It's a long way to 2020, and there's so much that is going on in the meantime.

So, forgive me if I don't give a shit who's ahead for 2020. It doesn't matter at all right now. It's just a distraction from the real issues.

And, yes, I know you know that and I understand why you posted this. I just wanted to stick my nose in here and point out the irrelevancy of this at the moment. I did the same in that other thread, too.

It would be nice if he ran with someone from a younger generation, though, in order to start the transition of party power. There's nothing wrong with being old, but nothing lasts forever. There doesn't come a time when we age in reverse.
