(14,654 posts)He met with the Mueller team in January:
"Attorney General Jeff Sessions was interviewed last week by special counsel Robert Mueller as part of the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.
Sessions is the first member of President Trump's Cabinet known to have been questioned by the special counsel's office in its investigation into possible coordination between the Trump campaign and Moscow.
Justice Department spokesman Ian Prior confirmed Sessions' interview to NPR on Tuesday. Sessions cooperated voluntarily."

(35,927 posts)Senate to stand with him, given the current trouble Trump is in. I think they will convey it to Trump in advance and while he will be incensed, that will keep him from firing Sessions.
I think that is what has made Sessions stand up to him/ignore him so far.

(12,344 posts)I am also sure that Sessions has already flipped. I don't think he would take the chance of lying to Mueller and I don't think Mueller will be satisfied with the "I don't recall" defense.

(11,885 posts)He's found out Sessions is already talking to and helping Mueller and his team. If one of his moles found this out for him, or Russian or Israel intel , or russian mafia discovered this , it could be why he's talking about doing this soon.
