I am somewhat confused about why Cohen entered a plea that did not delineate either his cooperation or some type of agreement that no further charges would be brought. He's now in a situation of having prior felonies which can be used as enhancements.

You aren't granted immunity when you're not guilty of something. Weissellberg knows where the bodies are buried (figuratively speaking), and was probably intimately involved in all the shell companies, maybe tax evasion, illegal payments, who knows what else.
