What she does is particularly evil. She has made an entire career out of providing cover for the dispicable soul crushing policies of the Retrumplican party.
There was a special place in hell for the Vichy French, and there is a special place in hell for the Vichy Americans.
She's nothing but an enabler of evil, and that is worse than the evil itself.

(8,832 posts)Collins is cunning, which makes her doubly dangerous. She is all wrapped up in a petite package of sugary sweetness.

(61,033 posts)it's become obvious now.
The repugs send her out to dangle the possibility that she might side with the Dems. She does occasionally when they give her political cover, and the tactic worked for years until we got wise.
Now what they have resorted to doing is sending her out with favorable promises made to her by McConnell that evaporate the minute the vote is taken.
She still does it though, as if we haven't sniffed out her phoniness.

I still view him as the most dangerous person who has ever been a serious challenger for president in my lifetime. Cruz is a nutcase but it wouldn't be as obvious as Trump in office. He could easily have served two terms and done decades worth of damage. It would be going on quietly as far as the country is concerned. The GOP approval rating would be much higher and our midterm edge not nearly as great. Millennials would not be as opposed to Cruz as Trump.
Any comparison that flatters Ted Cruz is misplaced. I'm still thrilled we managed to avoid him. Once the GOP nomination narrowed to those two the outcome was going to be devastating if either one managed the White House.

(17,425 posts)Collins will smile sweetly at you as she jams the knife in.
Describing her as the Retrumplicans beard is spot on.
I'd never leave my kids with Cruz, but Collins will bend over backwards to show you should trust her. Either way, your kids are fucked.
Hiding your evil is much more dispicable.
