(6,686 posts)The Inquirer isn't a newspaper - it's a rag sheet. It's not about news: it's about scandals and bullshit. It's geared towards a specific segment of the population that seems to thrive on malicious gossip.
What I find hard to believe is how many people take their material seriously. As in c'mon folks, do you believe comic books too? Soap operas?

(103,806 posts)I met one last summer and it was terrifying trying to relate to that person. They were an uneducated bible thumping moron. Many "justifications" for their lame arguments came straight out of supermarket tabloid headlines or reality shows which they swore wear real. I had to get the hell away from them in a hurry before my brain melted.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
