...and we are going to the polls and taking our friends to the polls and our kids to the polls and we are going to make as many trips bringing as many people and do everything we can until we are BLUE in the face! Wish us luck America!

(6,523 posts)Alot of tough choices on the Dem side for Gov, decided to go with Graham. More than the normal amount of folks at my precinct today, which I take as a good sign

(254 posts)with Jeff Greene throwing GG under the bus...maybe Dem's need to take a page from Reagan's book, as in "Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Democrat".
We are in deep sh&t, need to stick together and get these (R) SOB's the hell out.

(14,371 posts)because Im in Indiana for the autumn, helping kids with their pumpkin farm. Doing the same in November even though Ill be back that week. I like to spend time with ballot doing some research, making some calls. I think some folks go eenie meenie miney mo with candidates or issues they havent researched, and that is just playing Russian roulette.

(43,255 posts)We are in the fix we are currently in because so many people voted (R).
Look at your car's gear selector when you drive to the polls.
(D) goes forward. (R) goes backward.

(10,345 posts)It was not very crowded late morning. I saw many repug signs posted out front, hardly any for the Democrats - but to my delight so many folks proudly dressed in blue, and while there was no "secret handshake" we gave each other nods and a smile!

(5,561 posts)I think leaving it to voters to choose judges is a really stupid system. How can any voter possibly pick out the best candidate to be a judge? I think for most it's just a matter of picking a name that triggers pleasant thoughts.

(14,565 posts)On judge questions I google union endorsements. Normally I can find 3 or 4 lists, locally and statewide. Then I compare the list and go with consensus. Sometimes I google the judge's name for background and bio.
Union endorsement links look like this:

(10,345 posts)On a personal note - I got in trouble for snapping a pic of my daughter casting a vote, and was asked to delete the photo. Embarrassing, yes but thrilled that young folks like her are lining up to participate in democracy!

(10,345 posts)Our Florida primary election is over and in a very neck & neck race, Andrew Gillum has defeated Gwen Graham and has won the Democratic nomination for governor. So, November here we come and our new mantra will be: We vote blue, no matter who!
