Trump opposed lowering flag because he thought McCains TV coverage was more befitting a president
https://www.rawstory.com/2018/08/trump-opposed-lowering-flag-thought-mccains-tv-coverage-befitting-president-report/
President Donald Trump chose not to lower the U.S. flag to half staff for hours on Monday because he was angry about the glowing coverage of the late Sen. John McCain (R-AZ).
According to the Wall Street Journal, Mr. Trump resisted, and viewed the news coverage of the former senators death as over-the-top and more befitting a president, according to people familiar with the situation.
Trump eventually caved and issued a proclamation ordering the flag to be lowered to half staff.

Trump has not.
Trump has not sacrificed anything for this country, but has TAKEN from it for his own greedy self.

The illegitimacy of the Trumpster is a thing of true horror and on full-view by the country and world. His pettiness and vindictiveness speaks volumes. As for the excuses? They're lame.

And if anybody is starting to get tired of all the McCain coverage, do keep in mind that every minute of air time on cable news that is given to McCain is a knife in Trump's gut.
