As Trump and Bernie Sanders attack Amazon..... Amazon fires back.

Amazon, in a rare political response, calls Bernie Sanders' claims of poor worker conditions 'inaccurate and misleading'

"We have been in regular contact with his office and have offered several opportunities for Senator Sanders and his team to tour one of our fulfillment centers," the company said in a blog post Wednesday. "To date he has still not seen an FC for himself."

So I can see why he'd reject any PR-driven tours.

Now, if they told him the address and hours of every fulfillment center, and told security to let him into any FC he chose to inspect at any time of his choosing immediately and without fanfare/announcing a visitor was in the building, and he still rejected it... that'd be a touch different. And I somehow doubt Amazon would agree to do that.

I like how they say they are now “climate controlled” fulfillment centers. Yeah after they were dragged through the press over having ambulances parked outside to haul away the employees dropping from heat exhaustion.

Of course some may think Amazon is some great entity for its workers.

Trump does not give a shit about worker conditions. He attacks Amazon because Jeff Bezos said something "mean" (read - factually correct) about him.

totally reveal all the warts...does he have carte blanch to walk in any time?

Ooh, its CNBC, my favorite balanced reporting source....not surprised they'd want to jump in and take the balanced approach of taking the CEO's statement at face-value. Why do any digging on their own? Hey, its he said she said...

at this point that's just too many damn workers working at not near enough money, while CEO"s rake in a shit ton of what is existing wealth. That shit doesn't grow out of the ether. It literally represents real world resources. That weak rebuttal falls on entirely deaf ears here. Amazon should be a punching bag...and there are vast differences as to why and how Sanders and Trump are targeting Amazon.
