1. How much would it take?
2. Do you think that he would do it?
3. This would not preclude him from being investigated and/or indicted.

(764 posts)...when it comes to the date he is resigning.
Doesn't matter how much money is in the GFE account Trump is going to resign before next term. He will only retire after they get the SC justice in and after the GOPS loss in the midterm and after the GOP rigs it so Trump is able to retire and still stay out of jail and keep some of his money for his family who will also not be serving any jail time either. The ruling class rarely does.
The GOP who will still be in control of both the house and senate in the dead period between the mid term election in November and the dems take control of the house in Jan. The GOP will do all they can to wash themselves of Trump and will try to rewrite history.
Yep I am confident in my conclusion Trump is going to retire early and will die long before the majority of court cases against him and his family are resolved.
And we will bit%# and moan and our faces will get red then we will accept the chasm between the rich and poor and move on to try and effect 2020.

(23,944 posts)Trump is not short on money, and as far as i know we can't do GoFundMe campaigns for donations of ethics or compassion.
as far as i can tell, he's in this job until
1. he loses the 2020 election
2. he is removed from office by a bi-partisan super-majority of senators
3. circumstances become so uncomfortable for him that he resigns
4. his health precludes further "service"
3 and 4 may be superseded by various convincing suggestions from Russian Intelligence - hell that might be why he's stuck it out as long as he has already.
