I live in a small North Texas Town. A third of people being racists, uneducated, or crazy sounds about right to me. But a lot of racists don't like to be seen as racists or don't even recognize their own racism. The trump travesty has given me a very putrid view of a significant part of America.

There are not that many rich people.

5. Back during the Bush years

there was a poll of Americans and a bit over 18% of Americans thought they were in the top 1% of income earners. That might account for it.

I'm guessing many of the rest, or somewhere between 50-75% of that 36% are the "poorly educated" that Trump loves.
