Cynthia Nixon, the insurgent Democratic challenger to New York's governor Andrew Cuomo gave a clinic on MSNBC's Morning Joe that every Democratic candidate should watch. She did not back down or double talk in fear, in the manner many Democrats do as they try to appease a mythical center. When asked a question on tax hikes she answered it head on.

(22,822 posts)I gave up alerting over two years ago after clear TOS violations, supporting Republicans in the GE were allowed to stand. No point to alerting if the standards will not be enforced.

(6,709 posts)Just out of curiosity, how much is Cuomo worth? How about, say, Bloomberg? Are either of them in favor of raising taxes on themselves?

Based on the first link, Cuomo urged New Yorkers to oppose Rump's tax cuts. That's cool. I don't see anywhere that he urged a tax hike, on anyone, billionaires included (it was a quick scan so I could've missed it).
Based on the fact-check, he is far less progressive than he pretends to be. I'm guessing--from your post title--that you regard that as a good thing.

This is not even off by degrees of republicans calling our leaders limousine liberals. You may want to reconsider silly attacks like this. People live an operate within the system we have and that isn't a crime. Trying to rig that system in their benefit on the other hand is slimy. Trying to fix that system and make it more fair doesn't have to start by first becoming a pauper one's-self.
