7. I am reminded of Buddha's parable of the pots

I'm not going to say mean things about her, because I'm better than that. There was a lot of truth and inspiration in the McCain eulogies today, but who received it, and then reflected well on it? I will share Buddha's parable of the 4 pots. The rightside-up pot is like someone, who is ready and able to receive and retain the dharma (the truth), and strives to live up to it. The cracked pot is like someone, who can hear the truth, but does not retain it, or live up to it. The upside-down pot is like someone, who cannot receive, much less retain the truth. And alas the dirty pot is like someone, who receives the truth, but who corrupts it with impurities. There was lot of truth today at McCain's funeral.
