The "liberal media" have been trying to normalize the ultra-right wingers for years. Look at who is interviewed on TV news programs - right wingers, all the time. Hardly ever called out on their bigotry and lies.

I am quite a bit older than most news people, perhaps they don't know that a big part of their job used to be to report the news accurately, and not to pretend that bigotry and greed and what we used to call un-American ideas are normal and OK.

Why did the New Yorker invite Bannon? He is famous. They do not know he is also repulsive.

or really know anything about it. The New Yorker has been around since before WWII. When American newspapers and magazines were giving Hitler a pass, it was pubs like the New Yorker and Vanity Fair who called him out for everything and never flinched from hard reporting or calling out fascists.

I don't know why they chose Bannon. A rare mistake made by a publication that's true blue democracy and always has been, but as a long time reader, I'll most definitely give them the benefit of the doubt.
