It would be cowardly to seek reelection to his House seat just to have a backup. He should put his money where his mouth is and resign now.

He is not going to resign because he knows when he loses on the Romney ticket he will still need a job.

He'll be getting insane amounts of money funneled into his reelection via Super PACs.

(5,072 posts)It is a lock you will win the house or senate seat, and if you win the big election the GOV has to pick a same party replacement (same party in most states anyway)
