..of crimes against the United States of America?
We know, from Day 1, that he was violating the emoluments clause of the Constitution. That alone could be cause for impeachment. But, Republicans ignored it and Democrats did not pursue it.
We have seen obstruction of an investigation by the Special Counsel almost every day. It has been out in the open for everyone to see.
We have seen collusion and conspiring with a foreign country to influence the outcome of a presidential election in favor of Donald J Trump.
We have seen bribes, pay-offs for sexual liaisons, and confessions in a court of law that the President of the United States orchestrated the payment and concealment of these campaign violations.
And we do not yet know what Robert Mueller, the Special Counsel, has discovered in regards to money-laundering and other international crimes under the RICO laws?
If there is no trial, no impeachment, no convictions, and Donald Trump is permitted to resign from office, or worse still, permitted to serve out his term in office, would that be a failure of our justice system? How would that reflect on the Constitution of the United States and the elected Congress of this nation?

(1,397 posts)I'm worried about our democracy, too, but I still have faith that our Constitution will hold and Justice with it.
Many (most?) Americans have become used to fast service, we are impatient people. But justice for Trump isn't going to be an overnight
delivery, nor should it be. Keep the faith a little longer..
