(49,112 posts)I've never used the word 'lodestar' in my life - so I know I didn't write that op-ed.

(113,190 posts)Well, if it is Pence, I guess he gets points for writing it, loses most of them for doing so anonymously, and even more for the self-serving motivations that are likely at least partially in play.
Still, he has a few points earned, I think.

(113,190 posts)and is to an entire article that yes includes the tweets. Rawstory is a news aggregator after all:

(58,724 posts)Raw Story often takes someones tweets and strings them together - puts on a clickbait headline - and gets people to click on their garbage website.
The totality of what is in the Raw Story "article" is a series of tweets from Dan Bloom.
hlthe2b
(113,190 posts)and includes discussion/content not contained within the tweets--thus an article.
Obviously you have a hangup with Raw story and other news aggregators Fine. I don't necessarily disagree, but get a grip, oberliner. This is hardly something to jump all over me or some other Duer about.
yardwork
(69,087 posts)I read it. It's a bunch of drivel. Self-congratulatory, self-justifying, Republican normalizing, greedy drivel. Full of praise for destruction of the environment, theft of wealth from the people to the very richest, and all the other "good" things the writer praises.
It's impossible for me to describe the nausea I feel at this piece of drivel.

How can anything that shows an emerging consensus that Trump is unfit for the office be unhelpful?

(58,724 posts)It's a guy tweeting.
And Pence doesn't write his own speeches. All of the times he is cited in the tweets using the word are from pre-written speeches and statements, not written by him.

(56,071 posts)And his current speechwriter is new as of last year. So he's used it through more than one speechwriter.

(5,810 posts)Several Trump Admin officials attended or watched the funeral and would have heard that term lodestar, so just because Pence used it in a speech is no proof that he wrote the editorial

Just because of one word people are saying Pence
Pence would have gone to Fox News for cover. If it was Pence trying to get the job, that would be a coup.
