The United States Constitution gives the Senate the power to expel any member by a two-thirds vote. This is distinct from the power over impeachment trials and convictions that the Senate has over executive and judicial federal officials.

It's about time Democrats started playing dirty too. If the Republicans can change the rules to favor themselves at every turn, we have to respond in kind. That's why I fully support leaking documents (those that don't compromised national security) to the media for publication. And when the Republicans try to block the Mueller Report from being released, I hope the Mueller team leaks it to the media Pentagon Papers style too. F these guys. It's time we started punching back. They want to make a farce of appointing a Supreme Court Justice (because let's face it, there could be documentary PROOF that Kavanaugh is Hitler reincarnated and the Republicans would all vote for him anyway--they abandoned anything resembling morality or duty to country a long time ago), then I say we blacken their eyes in the process.
