Corey Booker is exhibiting RARE political courage

He's willing to lose his senate seat over this. Some might consider this grandstanding or posturing for 2020, but the bottom line is this:

He is putting his skin in the game.

We need more people putting their jobs on the line to stop this runaway train.

ON EDIT: Booker to Cornyn, who said Booker should face charges.... "Bring it!"

Senator Cory Booker just earned my vote for whatever office he should choose to run for. This brings to mind a speech that earned 1 of my favorite actors an Oscar:

"I'm not finished! As I came in here, I heard those words, "cradle of leadership." Well, when the bough breaks, the cradle will fall. And it has fallen here; it has fallen. Makers of men; creators of leaders; be careful what kind of leaders you're producin' here. I don't know if Charlie's silence here today is right or wrong.

I'm not a judge or jury. But I can tell you this: he won't sell anybody out to buy his future!! And that, my friends, is called integrity! That's called courage! Now that's the stuff leaders should be made of. Now I have come to the crossroads in my life. I always knew what the right path was. Without exception, I knew. But I never took it. You know why? It was too damn hard. Now here's Charlie. He's come to the crossroads. He has chosen a path. It's the right path. It's a path made of principle -- that leads to character. Let him continue on his journey.

You hold this boy's future in your hands, committee. It's a valuable future. Believe me. Don't destroy it! Protect it. Embrace it. It's gonna make ya proud one day -- I promise you."

Integrity, character, and courage are, indeed, the stuff leaders are made of and senator Booker just showed us all that he has those traits in excess. I say, bravo senator!
"Bring it!" Indeed.

Sen. Hirono was the Senator who actually DID the release of confidential marked docs without fanfare. What Booker released was NOT marked "committee confidential", because he already had permission to do it. And nothing in any of them is really confidential ANYWAY; just a GOP show for THEIR voters. Its ALL a show. Anyone doing what Booker was perceived to have done would be all over the news today.
But your response shows Booker got just what he wanted; the "tough guy" image.

Anything Senator Hirono did. She stepped right up to back Booker. Full credit to her.

But Booker is the one who backed Cornyn in a corner with his ,” Bring it on,” when Cornyn ignorantly threatened hi and Democrats.

There is no way I would downgrade the termendous actions of all Democrats yesterday. They really made me proud that they exposed the bullies for the cowards they are.

And I do not believe the Republican claim they approved the documents the night before. They did it in executive session after they were exposed.

Senator Hirono posed documents about Natives of her state. It is clear Kavanaugh showed his bigotry.
