With which I heartily agree:

Here are some additional tools that can be utilized now by the Dems in order to prevent the confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh and significant damage to the rights of those that need us most. pic.twitter.com/uabj51HyXB

(23,337 posts)but it seems that would be much more difficult than catching him in the lie now and making that public. Maybe it'll work, I don't know...

(24,255 posts)Please.
This guy could come out as a liar and Nazi party boy with a Klan membership and the GOP would confirm him because they are all Quislings.
Impeaching when we have some control of any part of the Federal government is our only hope.
Keeping your powder dry here as they used to say is a good tactic.

(23,337 posts)just saying that I'm hopeful she's working behind the scenes to get two/three senators to do the right thing to derail this now. As Rachel said last night, it's a tall order but it is not impossible. More than one way to skin a proverbial cat IMO. If/when we get Dems back into power, we will have plenty of clean up to do...impeaching is hard and doesn't happen often.

(81,498 posts)These Dems are NOT rolling over. Im actually rather shocked. These are the Democrats Ive been praying for - those who refuse just to lie down and concede defeat. No patsies here!
Those Dems in the hearing gave all of us Democratic voters SOMETHING to vote FOR!!!
Mighty nice, for a change, eh? Actually mighty freakin surprising! And a VERY pleasant surprise at that! I was NOT expecting it, but Ive become accustomed to Democrats disappointing me, by giving up early and reliably caving to the bad guys.

(108,995 posts)One is that this pressure might affect the votes of a few vulnerable Senators. The R's have the majority but that doesn't mean some of them aren't under pressure from their constituents.
Two, even if this fails, the louder and more public we are about how unfair this process is, how bad the R's are being, the more voters might be affected in the November election.

(30,613 posts)No excuses now! Kavanaugh is a crook, and no Democrat has any excuse voting for such a horrible crook.

(11,992 posts)I was only questioning the OP premise of "prevent the confirmation". I wonder if there's any chance the Repub majority won't hold together for this.
