...Secret Service and all. The way this administration acts, I'm not sure this is the time or place for Chicago '68 like antics. The stunt made my day! And what's funny is that the news had to cover Trump's speech, and every time they played the video, you could see plaid shirt guy!

I am suggesting they resist just enough to cause a commotion.
We can see it from start to finish so we know it's not the fault of those who resist.

Still wish one of them would have resisted enough to make skirmish.
We could have seen it from start to finish so they could not claim that the resister started it.

And several of them have made quite a skirmish as they were being removed.

1. They weren't protesting.
2. We can see the entire transaction start to finish so questions of "why were they removed" would be front and center.

When I was in high school, in 1962, I was part of a pep band at my school. It was a group of first-chair high school musicians who were all friends. We were good, too, and we practiced together often. We were also mostly pranksters.

During that year's congressional election campaigns, the Republican from our district asked us to participate in a parade in a small town nearby. Apparently, someone working on his campaign knew of us. We said, "Oh, sure!" What they didn't know was that we were all huge JFK fans and had played at campaign rallies for him earlier.

So, we went to Ojai, CA and marched in that parade. A couple of the bandmember's girlfriends carried a banner supplied to us by the candidate. The candidate was in a reviewing stand, about halfway long the parade route, along with various and sundry dignitaries.

When we arrived in front of the reviewing stand, we went into a carefully rehearsed routine. The girls dropped the banner on the ground, and the 10 members of the band started wandering aimlessly in different directions as we all played a well-known funeral dirge that is commonly known as "The worms crawl in." As usual, we played it quite well, too.

Then, when the music was done, we all reassembled in our 2X5 formation and marched on, leaving the banner on the ground in front of the reviewing stand.

We did not receive any awards for our performance, oddly enough. We were, however, scolded by the school's band director, who told us we weren't to do any such thing again. He could hardly keep his laughter contained. A story in the local paper decried our rude performance, though, which amused us quite a good deal. My father asked me, "Son, do you think that was really a good idea?" And that was that.

That, however, was then, and it was just a congressional candidate. There was no Secret Service team on hand.

That was not the band's only prank, either. We were finally banned from using any of the school's instruments and from playing at any school functions. So we just used our own instruments and played elsewhere. I was sad, though, since I was the band's sousaphone player. I didn't have one. We did borrow a tuba from someone, though.

He showed how paranoid and narcissistic Trump is. He removed people for facial expressions. They weren't booing; they weren't threatening in any way. And they made no fuss when they were removed. It showed, better than forcibly removing hecklers, Trump's pettiness and fear of anyone who even slightly disagrees with him.
