Oh look, Susan Collins is pretending to be on the fence about another crazy RW court nominee

She sure knows how to milk a lot of attention and concessions out of the GOP by posing as a "sane moderate Republican" every time they need her vote to do something terrible to the country.

So she is, and always has been, a definite yes on confirmation unless her vote will not matter. Freethinker65 Sep 2018 #1
I have zero confidence that she might vote against Kavanaugh. MineralMan Sep 2018 #2

"a Collins "no" vote on Trump's nominee is not something Democrats should bet on. She's never voted against a Supreme Court nominee of either party. Further, Collins is a Republican, and the person nominating Kavanaugh is a Republican. That's normally a recipe for a vote for confirmation to the Supreme Court."

She likes being treated as special. In the end, she always caves. The republicans can always count on her vote, that’s for sure.

… say Roe v Wade was settled law and Brett agreed. Everyone knows it was settled law - that what the Supreme Court does. They also unsettle laws!

Why is she still in office? Maine has about a 9-pt advantage in party affiliation (our favor)? A lot of unregistered voters, though, I think. She has GOT to be a major target when her time is up.
