I have a new thought about Trump's "Access Hollywood" tape

Here's the clip. Fast forward to about the 1'50" mark and listen to the tone of Trump's voice as he says hello to the woman sent to escort him. His tone is so smarmy that I wonder who would respond positively to such an oleaginous approach. His entire attitude makes me-- a man!-- recoil in disgust.

And yet, it must have worked for him because it's clearly his modus operandi and he wouldn't behave that way if it hadn't been successful for him in the past.

Here's the best part: Billy Bush suggested to Arianna (I think that's her name) that she should give Trump a hug. She does but it's really light and nearly at arms' length. Then she hugs Bush but gives him a (nearly) full-body squeeze. Interesting since she probably knows that Trump is a scumbag.

Trump is a creep.

He's also an idiot.

She said that after she had had her first sexual encounter with Trump, he pulled out his wallet as if he expected to pay her. To her credit, she declined any money.

Trump's instinctive move to pay her illustrates that this was not an unusual experience for him. Think about that.

That’s really debatable. Money or the perception of having it has worked for him. Not much else. It’s just his complete lack of scruples and character that allowed for him not to stop behaving that way.

It’s like he said on the tape: in his mind women ‘let him do it’ or get away with it. There is no evidence that anyone ever liked it....

What I meant about "worked," is that Trump's behavior is consistent and easily discerned. Accordingly, if you listen to the tone of his voice when he's bragging to Bush, then compare it with the way he greets Arianna, you'll hear his "seduction" voice.

In the end, Trump is scum. My fervent hope is that his hubris will be his downfall.
