Does Anyone Think That There Is A Concerted Effort To Take Down Pence.....

going on? A lot of fingers are pointing toward Pence and his staff about this OpEd. Pence even had to come out today and say that he'd take a lie detector test to prove he isn't Anonymous.

I just get this feeling that there are factors at work to take Pence out of the equation.

Am I thinking too hard on this or does anyone else think there are factors at work to take out Pence?

The whole republican Party is nothing but a crime syndicate at this point. Bunch of fucking mobsters. They'll back-stab anyone to get ahead.

to see Pence following in Spiro Agnew's footsteps, preceding his boss out of the White House.

VPs can be impeached or resign during their term.

They don't have much real power, so they are a small part of the equation, if I understand that phrase correctly. They break tie votes in the Senate.

it doesn't give Pence the opportunity to pardon Trump. Also we need to consider the succession for the presidency after the VP is gone. Speaker of the House is next in line. Paul Ryan has dropped out and is retiring. If Dems take over the House - what happens? Hatch is retiring as well. Next in line then is Mike Pompeo. What are his aspirations?

Succession:

1 Vice President Mike Pence (R)
2 Speaker of the House of Representatives Paul Ryan (R)
3 President Pro Tempore of the Senate Orrin Hatch (R)
4 Secretary of State Mike Pompeo (R)

Seems to me that timing is everything going forward.

Has Pompeo's name been mentioned as 'Anonymous'?

All this seems interesting to me.

The order of succession only matters if EVERYONE higher up is out of commission.

Trump belongs in jail along with the rest of them. Pence as POTUS though would usher in a wave of people who make Kavanaugh look like an atheist. I used to use the term "Taliboragain" for that wing of the crazees. Pence as POTUS would give them more power in Federal government than any of us wants.

If the R's take him down and replace him with someone who's a greed fucker but not a religious whackjob before taking Trumpy down, then I would not entirely cry in my Coca Cola.

All this said, I don't see it happening. Once the Tea Party idiots were flushed out all that is left in charge are the religious nutjobs and the ones who will gladly use the religious nutjobs to play us all against each other while they steal the world's economic future.

because he doesn't need to be anonymous to be a threat. The vice must be one of the people to initiate the 25th and we all know he would jump at the chance.
