I was wondering if she would be able to use the defense of fearing for her life. She was in someone else's home, but could she claim she only killed him because she feared he would kill her?

Guyger, of Dallas, was arrested in Kaufman County and booked into the Kaufman County Jail, the Texas Rangers said in a statement.

The shooting just before 10 p.m. local time (11 p.m. ET) at the South Side Flats, an upscale apartment building south of Dallas’ downtown, occurred when Guyger was off-duty, police said

Everone seems to be just assuming that she was drunk, but all I have heard was that she was off-duty, and presumably in uniform. I just don't buy it. When was her shift over? I think she was sober, and intentionally went to his apartment, but it is unclear why. My gut feeling was that she pulled out her gun to intimidate him for some reason and it went off.
