(7,288 posts)Please excuse the double redundancy.

(10,721 posts)I expect both Newsom and Feinstein to win by 20+ points.

(109,260 posts)Don't get me wrong, I love where I live, but with the political climate here, you would think it's rural Alabama, not Southern California.

(10,721 posts)...there are plenty of (i.e., more than zero) Republicans. In a state this populous, that's a given. Nearly 4.5 million Californians voted for Trump. Only Florida and Texas gave him more votes.

(10,721 posts)...to follow the link and read up on the polling firm in question.
I don't think any really recent polling has been done, but both Newsom and Feinstein were up by more than 20 points in late July polling.

(18,105 posts)thread looked like a sham. Im glad you shared your investigation. That puts things in proper perspective.

(10,721 posts)...rather than using a biased sample, I wonder if Probolsky simply made up those numbers. Newsom will be our next governor. Period.
The Feinstein vs. de León race is tougher to predict because there is a huge percentage of undecideds. Maybe not quite 34% like Problosky indicates, but close to that. Still, Feinstein has to be considered a heavy favorite. I'd be fine with de León winning. If he doesn't win, I hope he runs again after Feinstein decides to retire.

(11,088 posts)He is my state senator and i know he will be a great u s senator
Garrett78
(10,721 posts)He'll need a lot of Republicans voting for him (just to spite the incumbent Feinstein) and for an overwhelming majority of the undecideds to break for him. That's a super tall order.

(31,977 posts)with any congressional delegates, much less a governor (ok, a bit of an exaggeration, but still...)
The Democrats have a super majority in the state legislature and a mortal lock on the bulk of the Congressional House delegation and Senate seats... worry about some other state please. No FUD here. I, personally, will try my very best to get rid of Jeff F'ing Denham in my district.
