Appreciation for the Cajun Navy!

While Humperdoo tweets and FEMA fails, the various Cajun Navy groups are simply saving lives. The local governments are smart enough to let them use their willingness, boats and expertise to cut through the bs and go house to house rescuing the trapped and hurt in this and other storms. If we’re truly going to have to survive in SPITE of the government, I’m glad these folks are there.

I'm certain that the residents from southeast Texas and Louisiana are more familiar with working in the post-hurricane conditions than any of the feds.

Flooding isn’t just hurricane stuff in Cajun country. Hell, not a few houses are built above water. They’re good at this. The generosity, though, that moves me.
