(46,176 posts)What? Somebody was going to post it.
Something inside me wants her to run and win. So sue me.

(319,067 posts)And, Hillary isn't running anyway.. but don't be rewriting history.
I'm sad she isn't running. The country need and deserves her competence.

(29,075 posts)Didn't visit every city, town and village in America and kiss every butt, especially in swing states, to earn their votes.
Gave a few speeches and got paid (TRANSCRIPTS!!!!!!111)
Her only message was "Vote for me, I'm a woman" (tempting airhead vagina voters).
Not trusted because unhacked "dark home-brew server off the books in her fucking home."
Said "super predators" in a speech once (racist!) whereas Senators who actually voted for the crime bill are innocent lambs.
Told coal miners their jobs were not coming back.
Got sick once.
Baggage, unlikable, over-prepared for presidential debates, laughed sometimes.
Hot sauce (PANDERING!!!11).
Simultaneously ran a campaign only based on "I'm not Trump" while not being hard enough on Trump.
Only ran negative ads against Trump, never talked about policy even though her policies were obsessively detailed and organized.
Did not mention the economy or jobs once even though the word most used in her speeches was "jobs."
Warmonger because of Iraq and Libya.
Kissinger.
Goldwater Girl.
Bill Clinton.
DLC.
Did I miss anything? I'm sure I missed a lot of things, there were so many.

(21,061 posts)After all, up until that time , only men had run, and they were all perfect.
And because the media ignored and failed to report her message, she therefore "had no message".
And she was a "really, really bad candidate", even though she received more votes than anyone ever, except for Barack Obama in 2008.

(62,536 posts)Reminds me of the last line from the intro of the corny 80's sci-fi drama series "Quantum Leap"...
"And so Doctor Beckett finds himself leaping from life to life, striving to put right what once went wrong and hoping each time that his next leap... will be the leap home...."
If only we could get Scott Bakula to materialize into Jim Comey's body sometime in the fall of 2016!

(6,133 posts)S. E. Cupp could not admit she made a mistake not voting for Clinton, even though she hates Trump. When pressed, she would not admit that Clinton would have done less damage.
Hillary was a bad choice in 2016, not for anything she may had done. She was a bad choice because they targeted her decades before. It all started with I consider the so what...Im not the stand by your man type.
She would have been a great president if she pulled it off. But there was too much hate against her. There is no logic there, only hate which I have never understood.

(2,188 posts)E.g.. 2 1/2 yrs wasted on Benghazi Hearings (4 deaths involved) VS 2,975 deaths on Puerto Rico, and there will never be a Hearing.
Also - Benghazi Investigation only wrapped up after Hillary lost, so there was no longer a need to keep it going; it wrapped up in Dec 2016)
Larrybanal
(227 posts)she came with too much baggage...they investigated the clintons the whole 8 years bill was in office. I voted for her and wanted her to win but please not again

(58,785 posts)More than a little cognitive dissonance for an admirer? Opponents are usually the ones who push that story in spite of all evidence. If you've been following history, you'd know there was major sabotage of not just our lead candidate but those riding her coattails who were on track to form Democratic majorities in the senate and very possibly even the house.
Also that ANY Democratic candidate had to be defeated just as ruthlessly or it'd be over for their plans.
Of course, not all the sabotage was via illicit machinations from America's right wring and Russia either. We all know there really are some people who helped sabotage the nation out of spite directed at Hillary specifically.

(12,046 posts)They did investigate the Clinton's incessantly and found nothing that stuck. She had about the least potential "baggage"of any candidate imaginable considered her record had been scoured forward and back. She was not a poor candidate because America was too sexist to vote for a woman.

(255,525 posts)Is there some holiday today that I'm unaware of?? And it says that tomorrow's show is "new," but it lists a topic instead of guests - does this mean it's what we used to call "a clip show?"
not_the_one
(2,227 posts)It was quite good. Quite a few low key political jabs.
I would imagine that would be a reason to show the "topic" show.
Rhiannon12866
(255,525 posts)That was on when I got home and I did watch the "In Memoriam" segment with Aretha Franklin's "Amazing Grace," but then I turned to the news. And tonight was the repeat from a month ago, which makes sense now, while tomorrow night is the "topic show."
LoveMyCali
(2,047 posts)It's marked as new in our system.
Rhiannon12866
(255,525 posts)I now know why it's a repeat tonight (Emmys), but the topic instead of guests is baffling. And you know that Stephen Colbert likes to keep up with the very latest news - he even broke into his monologue once when it was announced that Trump was going to North Korea. You know I try to keep up on these things, but that one baffles me!
