He was the only hope of making this race entertaining with his cartoonish thuggishness.

He would make Joe Biden look like George Washington, Abe Lincoln, and FDR all rolled into one in the VP debates even if Biden didn't open his mouth.

Paul Ryan will do the same thing, but it will take a few more minutes to get there.

2. I figured he wouldn't. They don't go together. Wouldn't work well together.

I pictured Christie getting on the tour plane or bus, sweaty, huffing and puffing, larger than life, maybe making a crude comment or two, being loud. I couldn't imagine the Romneys being able to tolerate it, or Christie tolerating the aloof, elite, religious, quiet, uncommunicative, prim and proper, hoity toity Romneys.
