The double-standard should not be surprising

Just heard some talking heads say that it would be easy for the GOP to cry foul over the Democrats holding on to Ms. Ford's allegations until the last minute, because they have apparently had this letter in their possession for a few months now.

Um.....

Just when during this confirmation process did the GOP/White House release the Kavanaugh documents they had kept sealed... and how many documents are still not available?

It was not a "few months." I was six weeks. The letter is dated July 30. John1956PA Sep 2018 #9

Democrats need to demand all background information the FBI obtained on Kavanaugh, along with the other documents Republicans are refusing to release. They are obviously hiding something; otherwise, they would release the documents.

represents what the Republican party has become.
Back when Obama won and Republicans met in private and vowed to oppose everything he proposed. In other words they all agreed to become strictly political, to put their party interests over the interests of the country. I was naïve, I thought that strategy would fail, I thought the "American people" would see through that awful strategy. I was wrong. With the help of the M$M, Republicans went negative, no, demonized all Democrats. The strategy worked, Republican voters didn't have to vote "for" something, they merely had to vote against something.

The M$M needs to be given more blame for this outcome. Just yesterday I watched a cable news anchor from msnbc ask a Democratic candidate if he will support Nancy Pelosi as Speaker. Why wouldn't he come right out and say that if she was the nominee that he would support her? Why wouldn't he because Pelosi was one of the best Speakers ever? Because the Republican strategy was to demonize a good person so that the mere mention of her name would connote someone "bad." Why didn't that Democratic nominee simply ask the cable news host for one reason why he shouldn't back Nancy Pelosi? I bet that cable news host can't come up with one good reason, because the only reason is that Pelosi is one of those awful Democrats.

why? In 2010, Republicans ran on just hatred of Obama and Obamacare. They picked up over 60 seats in the House. Did anybody question why they weren't running on anything more than that?

On Morning Joe this morning, Mika exaggerated the time frame to "several months. I will not watch her anymore.

On edit September 18: The post was corrected to read that Senator Feinstein's office held the letter in confidence for six weeks, rather that five weeks as stated in the original version of the post.
