Crooks & Liars Has a post about a possible new accuser against Kavanaugh. A legal clerk

[link:https://crooksandliars.com/2018/09/kavanaugh-called-west-wing-morning|

Now it looks like Professor Blasey isn't the only one with a story, so expect at least one other person will be coming forward:

FWIW, a DC lawyer told me this morning he'd been waiting for Kavanaugh's #MeToo moment ... but the story he knew wasn't from high school but a summer clerkship.

Turned my mentions off because YIKES, but let me add he's already shared what he heard with a reporter as did the person with firsthand knowledge.

The reporter would have second-hand knowledge because s/he (presumably) spoke with the victim and got the story.

I liked the other story at the link...about the 65 women who signed a letter about his wonderful integrity a few weeks ago and now most are not standing by him after this weekend's news came out

of women in that group of 65 has shrunk greatly. L. O'Donnell says it's down to about 6 women.

I think that if another woman stepped up to name Kavanaugh of a sexual-related charge, there'd be a bunch of ol' white men suddenly go limp from their present feeling of superiority. They wouldn't be standing so tall behind Kavanaugh.

If there is another woman...there are many.

Think Mrs. Kavanaugh is also talking to a lawyer? I'll just bet those daughters are embarrassed by their friends' reactions at school. I feel sorry for all three of those family members, as I don't think Daddy thinks of anyone but himself and his selfish demeanor. Time for him to withdraw and I'd bet that's probably the real reason he went to the WH today.

If Trump promised to clean the swamp, why does he keep adding these critters?

There is a lot about these old white men that is limp. That's why health insurance covers the little blue pill for men.

I think it unlikely they will ever, even in the presence of overwhelming facts, stop feeling superior to everyone else.

I think tRump summoned him to the WH to give him an "attaboy!" high five. Told him to stand firm and tall. Pun intended.

I think - and may be totally off base here - that the optics of these creaky, crotchety old white male geezers like Assley, Scratch, et al - who've all been around about as long as Methuselah creaked the Earth - will be bad enough optics that it will have huge impact on the mid-terms. It may not be enough to derail this headlong runaway train to confirmation, but it may be enough to completely tip the upcoming election on behalf of the Dems. After that, if the Dems have enough clout in the Congress, they may be able to push (strongarm Roberts) to have Kavanaugh recuse himself from any case brought before the High Court involving Shitler. That's our only hope, IMHO.

When Orrin Hatch called her "mixed up" I hollered that he just gave Dems a massive mid-term victory.

outraged. I had grown up in a very Republican area with a Republican family and this was the first time I had paid much attention to politics. Lived in Illinois and we got rid of an old white guy (Henry Hyde) and replaced him with a black woman (Carole Mosely Braun).
