(82,849 posts)Okay, so something bad happened way back when you were in high school. Just let it go, cancha?
Nope, sounds stupid regardless of when "back in high school" was: Four months ago or 40 years ago. Some things you don't just get over. But then, look who we're getting lessons on forgetting the past from: The same political party that can't forget the Civil Rights movement, Nixon's resignation in disgrace, or Judge Bork.

(16,698 posts)Look at almost any endeavor and you'll see that most often, they start "learning by doing" young. Artists, athletes, and even in these modern days, internet entrepreneurs, all frequently were starting very young, often prepuberty but if nothing else, in their early teens. You're seeing a future leader working at a very high level, very early on. Think of Andrew Young, or most of the people that sent Apollo missions to the moon. Look at how old they were when they started.

So, vote now so that you end the massacres, and then you won't have to do the job he is doing in trying to get people to vote to end gun massacres.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
