when no American banks would. The corruption is stunningly disgusting with these people. Rumour is Kennedy would only step down if Trump nominated Cavanaugh.

Being in hot water with the Feds and about to be indicted. I think it was financial fraud or some other shenanigans. And he did seem to step down rather quickly. Lots of people talk about retiring, but it's just that - talk. But Kennedy seemed to move fast once the information about his son went public.
A trade-off ?
