The SCOTUS Battle Is About Establishing A Permanent Aristocracy Of The Rich. And We Know It.
We do not have titles like they do in England but we might as well call our rich dukes, duchesses, princes and king. Imagine King Trump, Koch's Dukes of Kansas, or Prince and Princess Trump for the offspring. In a sense that reality is what we are. The Senate is a House of Lords and the US House is House of Commons.
The GOP are the aristocratic class of nobles and the Democrats are the peasants. In actuality we are facing a new medieval reality where laws are applied based on class and progeny like it was during the Middle Ages. Such a society is just fine with our oligarchs.
The rich divide up all the best land for themselves. They take up all the best resources. Meanwhile the peasants get the scraps that fall from the table. And you survive based on how accepted you are. Imagine living in the American revolutionary period in a place like England where if you are a woman you are shuttled around and owned and who you marry is determined by your lineage and not who you love and want to be with.
To see the kind of age look at Downton Abbey or Poldark on PBS. Women and certain classes were just chattel and were inconsequential. Public office were for the rich privileged. Voting was limited to the chosen few who controlled everything.
The GOP is fully behind such a society and will use all means needed even violence in the end to reach those goals. The court system is their first line of attack in making sure that laws are applied UNEQUALLY.
