Instead, they deepened the swamp and let more floodwaters in, and all of the various bugs are turning on them (the repugs and their donors).

For every action there is a corresponding response/action. With the tax cut and jobs bill of 2018 this sent out a clear signal that the repugs are not for us, but for them (the donors, or the ultra rich who support not paying a fair share of taxes).
