(70,501 posts).... he said time after time he was a Wharton graduate. His degree is from the Univ. of Penn
which is a very good school but the first 3.5 years of college he was @ Fordham.
Trump also said on many occasions that he finished at the top of his class and that was a bald
faced lie. But we never heard about that or that his Military Prep. School was really reform
school for rich kids. Liberal Media =

(56,828 posts)many Ivy League, and other exclusive colleges, had what was called "The Gentleman's C" - if your father, uncle, grandfather or whatever was a graduate of the school and/or a potential wealthy donor, you could basically do whatever you wanted academically and you would be granted the grade of "C" in your classes.
I think that started to go away in the mid to late 70s, but money can still help get into the school - if I had $10 million or $20 million to give, my teenage daughter would be much more likely to get into Yale, Princeton or Harvard.

(56,828 posts)they had a woman one of the two graduating Summa Cum Laude. Not very common 50 years ago. I didn't go through the entire class with a fine tooth comb, but I did not see any other women graduating in 1968?
