"Mormon women demand LDS senators halt Kavanaugh hearings so misconduct allegations

can be investigated."

"An organization of Mormon women formed in response to President Trump’s election is calling for the four Mormon members of the Senate Judiciary Committee to pause hearings for Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh until the claims of two women alleging sexual misconduct can be investigated."

"Mormon Women for Ethical Government on Monday issued a statement to the committee and in particular, it said, “to the four members who share our faith as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints” — GOP Sens. Orrin G. Hatch and Mike Lee of Utah, Jeff Flake of Arizona, and Mike Crapo of Idaho."

Not sure if this will make a difference, but wishing more womens groups could do the same. Is it possible for our Democratic members, especially the women, in the House and Senate to get together and put a little more pressure on the Republicans? Maybe that isn't allowed, I'm not really sure. This has been a very rough week for me, I was raped many years ago and hospitalized because of injuries from the rape. That was a very bad time, and you try to go on with your life, but there are times, when memories come back to haunt you. I wish we could do more, as a society, for women who have the courage to speak out. Dr. Ford is doing a very brave thing, and it's so unfair the way she has been treated, as well as Deborah Ramirez. I keep hoping they will be believed, but the way Republicans have been railroading things, I'm starting to doubt it. Wish there was more that could be done.

WTF?

We can use any help we can get. However, I don’t think LDS men care what LDS women think about Kavanaugh.

Mormon women are nothing more than baby factories. Flake is my Senator and I'm surrounded by them and their misogyny. They value their womens opinions as much as Doturd values truth.

Notice that there are no women on the Republican side of the Judiciary Committee, out of 11 R members. Guess R women don't need to worry their little heads about judges and laws and stuff. Too busy with cupcakes, I guess.

There are 4 women on the Democratic side, out of 10. Dang, that's -almost- representative of the general population (49% M, 51% F). Smart women are Democrats.

The House should look a bit more representative next session, due to the record number of women on the ballots. Wonder why so many of those women are running with a D by their names?

If a handful of registered Democrats got together and called themselves “Democrats for Trump” do you suppose they’d have any influence on you or anyone else?

All witnesses and people who have anything on this situation should be investigated and completely done before this hearing takes place. It does show how partisan and fearful these kgop are about kavanaugh now. The truth will expose him anyway soon, so they either let it happen, or they'll fail badly trying to vote him through, and onto the bench. I can't believe enough Senators would do this to women , and all Americans , or to this country by allowing a possible sexual predator , a possible gang rapist or someone who helped them as has been reported carry out a gang rape, allow them onto our highest court , and for life. They are about to really damage not only themselves , but their party, forever.

If they don't care about 51% of the population's vote, then the 2% mormon vote sure as hell isn't going to bother anyone, either way.
