I will add that what was required for conviction was 67 votes, but he is still guilty and every history book will say just that.

A guilty verdict auto-executes removal from office. If a sitting Judge for example, got a 57 - 43 vote, they would not be removed from office. Therefore not guilty.

He was declared not guilty. That's how it was announced by Leahy and how it was entered into the record.
I get what you're saying, but by the rules of impeachment, he is indeed not guilty. History will say he was acquitted.
