Since The Twilight Zone has been mentioned during the Kav hearings, Rod Serling's daughter says:

Anne Serling
?@AnneSerling

Because The Twilight Zone has been invoked in the Kavenaugh hearings, I'll offer this: my father believed in decency, integrity and justice. Had he written this, I assure you--there would indeed be a further FBI investigation along with some cosmic justice.

"My father believed in decency, integrity and justice. But there's no fucking way he could have concocted a set of villains like Mitch McConnell, Charles Grassley, and Donald Trump. Nobody would have believed it!"

Serling was a very vocal liberal who wrote a number of progressive issues into episodes of The Twilight Zone.

He was a World War II paratrooper who went on to become a successful TV writer and producer. The Twilight Zone pretty much presents a lot of his core values. He hated that, as a writer, he was forced to change his scripts because a sponsor (usually a tobacco company) wanted him to change his narrative. He always found a way around it.

in the '70s.

He and his students from the University came into the Italian restaurant where I worked and I got to serve them.

The nicest guy and big tipper!

It's so good to see this from his daughter! I invoke The Twilight Zone a LOT because that's where I feel we're living now.

It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.
