The John Belushi character, Bluto Blutarsyi, become a senator. How prophetic!. Just thought that I'd throw that out there.

(218 posts)Only a couple of months ago, after almost 30 years of marriage, I finally persuaded my wife to watch the movie with me (and I hadn't seen it in that long, either), since it's kind of a cultural touchstone.
She wasn't impressed overall, and you know, frankly it didn't hold up very well to me, either. She did also like that "Senator and Mrs. John Blutarsky" final line, though.
Of course, the hilarious unlikeliness of that line came many, many years before the occupant of the White House made so many formerly-outrageous jokes like that forever less funny...

Pinto didn't know the girl was 13. (how many 13 year-olds work as cashiers?)
